FAQ's

What exactly is a Quilt Along?

A Quilt Along (or QAL) is like a guided sew-along: you receive the pattern, follow along with weekly instruction (blog posts, emails and videos) and share progress online.

With Curvy Petals, we’ll work together over 4 weeks - starting August 18 - so you're never guessing what to do next. Plus, there are prizes!

What if I don’t have Instagram?

No problem! The QAL will still work for you.

I’ll send emails each week with instructions and reminders. Post your progress wherever you're comfortable (Facebook, blog, or email). However, if you want to enter the weekly prizes, you'll have to join IG with a public account.

What if I have a private Instagram account?

To be eligible for the prizes, your IG profile needs to be public (so I can see your hashtagged posts).

If you prefer privacy, you could create a free, public account just for the QAL. That way you keep your main account private but still join the fun. Or you could simply make your account public for a few weeks then change it back.

What if I fall behind?

Life happens - I get it! The QAL calendar gives a suggested pace, but you're welcome to sew at your own rhythm.

Finished early? Keep going! Fall behind? Restart when you're ready.

My main goal is for this to be fun, confidence-building, and stress-free.

Make a single block, a 2x2 quilt or a 3x3 - you will still be eligible for the prizes each week - simply show progress!!

Is there a fabric bundle option?

Nope - there’s currently no pattern + bundle combo available, but feel free to pick fabrics you love from your stash or support your local quilt shop.

Can I join if I live outside Australia?

Yes, absolutely! The QAL is open to quilters worldwide.

You can purchase the pattern, follow along via email or Instagram and you’re totally eligible to enter the weekly prize draws.

If you win a weekly prize, I’ll happily ship it internationally.

If you win the grand prize, just a heads-up - you’ll be responsible for covering shipping costs to and from Australia.

Will there be prep help or reminders?
